Yuliya Lockyear is a violin and viola instructor at Lower Columbia College and assistant principal viola of the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. (Read more). She manages her own music studio, LockyearMusic, in Longview, where she teaches violin, viola and piano lessons. Yuliya has performed and taught in Ukraine, Italy, Germany and USA since 2009. Before moving to the USA, she worked as a professional string quartet member for Holland America Line and Princess Cruises. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music from Southern Louisiana University and is the 1st prize winner of the 21st Century International Music Competition from Europe.
